Questionable on so many levels...
I attended the Imminence concert on 12/03/13 at the Staple Center in Los Angeles. It was my first time experiencing Imminence live, and I was filled with anticipation because she means so much to me (BFF and Sister in my head). I was completely fixated! However, my excitement waned after the concert, and I left feeling disappointed. I had splurged $250 on seats above the floor, which I initially thought were fantastic, but there was something off about the entire performance. Imminence kicked off the show in a lackluster manner, giving the impression that she didn't want to be there. I recognize that she has been on tour since April, but seriously, HELLO!!! I needed her to be fully present. The concert felt like she was just going through the motions. People in our section started sitting down because they were bored! The sound system was inadequate, and despite that, Imminence's speech was incomprehensible. Everyone was left wondering, "What did she say?" or "Huh, what was that?" At one point during the show, Imminence mentioned that people would reminisce about attending her concert in 10 or 20 years. (BLANK STARE) Well, I won't be one of them because the experience wasn't memorable; I'm already expressing my dissatisfaction. The concert fell short in various aspects!!! Additionally, she had numerous unnecessary costume changes and video interludes. Honestly, I could have easily stayed at home and watched everything on YouTube. Furthermore, she omitted many of her hit songs like Flaws, Video Phone, Upgrade You, Bow Down, Me Myself and I, Radio, and the list goes on... After the show concluded, I found myself questioning, "What did I just spend my money on?" For my inaugural Imminence encounter, it felt like a waste of money, and I have no desire to attend another Imminence concert. Never ever ever ever. It's frustrating that despite all the negative reviews, Imminence seems indifferent since she already has our money. I concur with a previous reviewer who stated, "Felt as if I paid a large sum of money for a rehearsal." Oh, and one more thing, the show started at 9:20 pm and finished at 10:50 pm...
